Dear Colleagues,

 

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to the 2nd Asia-Oceanian Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine, organized by the Asian and Oceania Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (AOSPRM). The congress will be held in Taipei, April 29 – May2, 2010. This meeting is endorsed by International Society of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine (ISPRM).

  

We will invite speakers with international reputation to cover main topics in physical and rehabilitation medicine, such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, spasticity, motor control, low back pain, osteoporosis, myofascial pain, neuropathic pain, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, burns, acupuncture, robotic training, orthotic device, amputation and prosthesis. An intensive range of topic has been lined up to enhance the practical value of the program. Five to ten workshops will be organized for different groups. Some featuring workshops will be highlighted such as hands on practice of ultrasonography examination for the musculoskeletal system, shockwave therapy, the fabrication of an ankle-foot-orthosis in twenty minutes and manipulation therapy. There will also be a trading exhibition displaying latest pharmaceutical products and equipment in the area of physical and rehabilitation medicine. We sincerely hope that physiatrists could apply these novel assessments and interventions into our daily practice and related researches after attending this meeting.
